Questions and answers
Do I need a payment card for the trial?
No. The trial starts with your email address. If you want to continue, you enter your payment details in the app – you are not charged until the trial has ended.
Why is there no VAT in the prices?
The service provider, Digitahti Oy, is not currently in the VAT register (small-scale business, section 3 of the Value Added Tax Act). The prices are therefore final, and no VAT is added to them. If this changes, we will let subscribers know well in advance.
What happens after the trial?
The trial does not turn into a paid subscription on its own. We send you a reminder by email about three days before the trial ends. If you want to continue, enter your payment details in the app, and the first charge is made when the trial ends. If you do not continue, your account is locked: your entries can still be read and downloaded, and you can continue later. The data of a locked trial account is deleted three months after the trial ends, and we let you know in advance. You can end your subscription at any time.
Can I take a break if my work is seasonal?
Yes. Choose “Take a break” in the settings, and your subscription ends at the end of the paid period, with no charges for new billing periods. Your entries are kept and are available to you as soon as you resume your subscription. You do not need to export them or import them back. A break ends the subscription at the end of the period, so when you come back, you subscribe again. You still keep your offer price: those who subscribed during 2026 keep their own price after a break too. If the account is not used for 12 months, the account and its data are deleted, and we send you a reminder by email before that. You can undo the break at any time.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. TuntiTassu is designed for phones first, and it works in the browser with nothing to install. The same account works on your computer too.
How do I sign in?
With a link sent to your email or the one-time code in the message. The code is handy, for example, when you read your email on another device. There is no password at all, so it cannot be forgotten or leaked. The sign-in email is in Finnish. It contains a button (“Kirjaudu sisään”, Sign in) and a code – either works.
Where is my data stored?
Within the EU, in a data centre in Stockholm. Our privacy notice explains in more detail how we process your data.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can get reports as PDFs at any time, and on request we deliver all your data in full.
How do I continue if I have subscribed before?
Sign in to the app and choose “Resume subscription”. The free trial is meant for new users: if you already have a personal TuntiTassu account, no new trial is started, and the subscription starts as paid straight away. The payment page also says this, in Finnish, before you confirm. Using TuntiTassu through your employer or another organisation does not use up your trial.
Who is TuntiTassu for?
TuntiTassu Soolo is made for freelancers, sole traders and light entrepreneurs who bill for their hours. If more than one person logs hours, there is a separate version for that, TuntiTassu Tiimi: shared projects and categories for the whole team, reports for the administrator and per-user pricing. In Tiimi too, entries belong to the person who logged them – only the administrator sees the whole team’s entries.
