TuntiTassu Soolo – terms of service

Version 1.3, effective from 23 October 2026

This is a translation of the Finnish terms of service, version 1.3. If the language versions conflict, the interpretation more favourable to the customer applies; in all other respects, the Finnish version applies (section 24).

These terms apply to the TuntiTassu Soolo service. TuntiTassu Tiimi, which is intended for organisations, does not fall within the scope of these terms.

1. Service provider

TuntiTassu is provided by Digitahti Oy, Business ID 3514735-2, Metsäkulmankatu 38, 48910 Kotka.

Contact: tuki@tuntitassu.fi

Telephone: +358 41 327 4360

2. Scope and formation of the contract

These terms apply to the free trial of the service and to the use of and subscription to the service.

The free trial begins when the customer accepts these terms on starting the trial. The trial does not oblige the customer to pay anything, and it does not become chargeable without the customer’s own action. Further provisions on the trial are set out in section 5.

A paid contract is made when the customer accepts these terms and confirms their obligation to pay and when the payment method has been confirmed. In these terms, the continuing service under a paid contract is referred to as a subscription.

Starting the trial and making the contract require the customer to be of legal age or otherwise to have legal capacity. The service is intended for use in business activities.

The terms have three levels:

If the customer subscribes to the service for business purposes, they are not a consumer within the meaning of Chapter 1, section 4 of the Consumer Protection Act (38/1978). Some of the rights granted in these terms are nevertheless given to them on a contractual basis. These are indicated in the text.

3. Content of the service

In the service, the customer can log their working hours, organise them into projects and categories and create reports from them that can be used as preparatory work for invoicing and bookkeeping.

The service does not invoice on the customer’s behalf and is not bookkeeping software.

The service is a browser application. There is no separate app to download from an app store.

Updates. The service is maintained and updated throughout the term of the subscription. Updates are included in the price.

Development. Features may be added and changed. If a change materially impairs the service from the customer’s point of view, notice of it is given by email at least 30 days before the change, and the customer may end their subscription before the change takes effect. In that case, the unused part of the paid period is refunded.

4. Starting the trial and subscribing

The trial is started on the website. The steps are:

  1. The customer gives their email address. No user account is created and nothing is charged.
  2. A confirmation link, valid for one hour, is sent to the address. The link does not create a user account or a session.
  3. The customer accepts these terms.
  4. The user account and the customer’s account are created, and the customer gains access to the service. The trial begins, and the customer is sent a confirmation that the trial has begun.

Before the trial begins, the customer is shown the duration of the trial and the consequences of its ending, as well as these terms, which also contain the pre-contractual information referred to in Chapter 6, section 9 of the Consumer Protection Act.

The subscription is made in the service, during the trial or after it has ended. The steps are:

  1. The customer chooses the billing period, accepts these terms and confirms their obligation to pay.
  2. The customer confirms the payment method on Stripe’s page.
  3. The paid contract is made, and the customer is sent a contract confirmation.

Before the subscription is made, the customer is shown the price of the service, the length of the billing period, the duration of the subscription and the terms for ending it, as well as the time of the first charge.

Confirmations. When the trial begins, the customer is sent, without delay, a confirmation by email stating the start and end dates of the trial and the version of the accepted terms, with these terms attached. When the paid contract has been made, the customer is sent, without delay, a contract confirmation by email containing these terms, the subscription details, the withdrawal instructions and the withdrawal form.

Re-subscribing. When a former customer subscribes to the service again, a new contract is being made. In that case, the terms in force at the time of subscribing apply, they are presented for acceptance and the obligation to pay is confirmed again.

5. Free trial

The service can be tried free of charge for 14 days without a payment card or any other payment details. The trial begins when the customer has confirmed their email address and accepted these terms in accordance with section 4. During the trial, all features of the service are available and nothing is charged.

Providing payment details during the trial. If the customer provides their payment details during the trial, the remaining days of the trial are retained and the first charge is made when the trial ends. However, the first charge is made at the earliest two days after the payment details are provided, because the payment service provider requires this, and the trial is extended accordingly. The trial nevertheless ends at the latest 16 days and one hour after it began. Before the first charge, the customer may withdraw from the contract in accordance with section 8, end the subscription in accordance with clause 9.1 or take a break in accordance with clause 9.2, in which case nothing is charged and the customer may use the service until the end of the trial.

End of the trial without payment details. If the customer does not provide their payment details before the trial ends, the account is locked. In a locked account, no new entries can be made, but the entries can be read and the customer can download them (section 11). The customer can continue using the service by providing their payment details, in which case the paid contract begins immediately without a trial.

Deletion of data after the trial. An account that was locked when the trial ended and its data are deleted once three months have passed since the end of the trial. Notice of the deletion is given by email at least 30 days in advance, and the deletion is carried out at the earliest 30 days after the notice and at the latest four months after the end of the trial. If the deletion is delayed due to a technical fault, it is carried out without undue delay once the obstacle has been removed.

The time limits in clause 9.4 do not apply to an account for which payment details have never been provided, nor to an account whose paid contract has been withdrawn from during the trial. If payment details have been provided and the subscription has later ended or the contract has been withdrawn from after the first charge, clause 9.4 applies to the deletion of the account.

The trial can be used only once and is tied to an email address. If the email address already has a personal TuntiTassu Soolo account, a new trial is not started. In that case, the customer can sign in to their account and continue using the service by providing their payment details. If the account has no trial in progress, the paid subscription begins as soon as the payment method has been confirmed, and this is stated before the payment method is confirmed.

Organisational use does not use up the trial. If the email address has access to an organisation’s TuntiTassu, this does not prevent a personal trial from being started. The organisation’s user accounts are managed by its administrator, so the customer has not had the trial at their own disposal.

If the account is deleted, the information about the previous account and trial is deleted at the same time. After that, it is a new customer relationship, and both the trial and the price are determined anew.

6. Prices

Billing periodRegular priceFor customers subscribing in 2026
Month€9.00€7.00
Year€90.00€70.00

The prices are final. No VAT is added to the price, because the service provider is not currently liable for VAT.

Price guarantee. For a customer who has subscribed during 2026, the price stays the same for as long as the customer relationship continues. The price also stays the same when the customer takes a break and later returns with the same email address. A customer who started a trial in 2026 is also deemed to have subscribed during 2026, even if the paid contract is not made until later.

This price guarantee cannot be changed under section 17. The only exception is a change in legislation, in particular the commencement of liability for VAT.

The price guarantee is lost only if the account is deleted. After that, the price list in force at the time of subscribing applies.

VAT. If the service provider becomes liable for VAT, customers are notified of this and of its effect on prices by email at least 30 days before the change. The customer may end their subscription before the change takes effect, in which case the unused part of the paid period is refunded.

Other price changes are made in accordance with section 17. A change takes effect at the earliest from the start of the next billing period, and it never applies to a period already paid for.

7. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Payment card details are entered on Stripe’s own page. They are not passed on to the service provider and are not stored in the service.

The payment is charged at the start of the billing period. The subscription continues automatically one billing period at a time until the customer ends it. The length of the billing period is the billing interval chosen by the customer, i.e. a month or a year.

If a payment fails, the account is locked in accordance with section 9. The data is retained and can be downloaded.

Incorrect charges. Incorrect and duplicate charges are refunded. For questions concerning billing, please contact tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

8. Right of withdrawal

The customer has the right to withdraw from the paid contract within 14 days of the contract being made. The contract is made in accordance with section 2 when the customer confirms their obligation to pay and the payment method has been confirmed, including when the payment details are provided during the trial. The right applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions.

For a consumer, this right is based on Chapter 6, section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act. For a customer who subscribes to the service for business purposes, it is granted under these terms.

Free trial. The trial does not oblige the customer to pay anything, so there is no need to withdraw from it. The customer may stop the trial at any time without giving any reason and without costs by not providing their payment details or by deleting their account in accordance with section 10. These terms and the pre-contractual information they contain are provided to the customer before the trial begins, and a confirmation that the trial has begun is sent in accordance with section 4.

How to withdraw. Withdrawal can be made in three ways:

  1. Using the withdrawal function in the service. The function is in the settings and is visible throughout the withdrawal period. It is not the same as ending the subscription.
  2. Using the withdrawal form in Annex 2.
  3. By any other unequivocal notice to tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

A confirmation of receipt of the withdrawal notice is sent by email without delay. The confirmation states the content of the withdrawal and the date and time it was delivered.

What withdrawal costs.

If the contract is withdrawn from before the first charge, nothing is charged or refunded. This is the case when the customer has provided their payment details during the trial and withdraws from the contract before the trial ends.

In that case, withdrawal does not end the trial: the customer may use the service free of charge until the end of the trial, after which the account is locked in accordance with clause 9.3. The account and its data are deleted in accordance with section 5 in the same way as an account for which no payment details have been provided.

If the contract is withdrawn from after the first charge, the customer pays a proportionate share for the time used up to the moment of withdrawal, and the remainder is refunded. The share is calculated from the total price of the subscription by days, and free trial days are not counted as time used. For example, for a €70 annual subscription that is withdrawn from on the fifth day after the first charge, the customer pays 5/365 × €70, or about €0.96.

The refund is made without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after the withdrawal notice is received, using the same payment method that the customer used when subscribing.

Starting the service during the withdrawal period. When subscribing, the customer expressly requests that performance of the service begin immediately and not only after the withdrawal period has ended, and accepts that they lose their right of withdrawal once the service provider has fully performed the contract. The request is made by a separate option on the subscription page. In a continuing subscription, the contract is not fully performed during the withdrawal period, so the right of withdrawal is available for the full 14 days.

Withdrawal and deleting the account are different things. Deleting the account in accordance with section 10 is not a withdrawal notice and does not result in a refund. If the customer wishes to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, they use the withdrawal function. Nor does deleting the account mean waiving the right of withdrawal: the customer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days even if they have already deleted their account.

Detailed withdrawal instructions are in Annex 1 and the model withdrawal form in Annex 2.

9. Ending the subscription, breaks and locking of the account

There are three different functions at the end of the life cycle. They have deliberately been kept separate, because they mean different things for the customer.

FunctionBillingDataCan be undone
Ending the subscription ends at the end of the paid period retained, can be downloaded yes, by subscribing again
Break ends at the end of the paid period retained, can be downloaded yes, with a separate function
Deleting the account ends immediately, the paid period is not refunded deleted immediately no

9.1 Ending the subscription

The customer may end their subscription at any time in the service settings. The subscription continues until the end of the paid period, after which the account is locked. The paid period is not refunded.

9.2 Break

A break can be taken in the settings. A break ends billing at the end of the paid period, and the account works normally until the end of the period. The entries are retained and are available when the customer resumes the subscription.

The break can be undone in the service settings. Signing in alone does not undo it. If the paid period is still running at the time of undoing, billing continues normally and the subscription does not end at the end of the period.

A confirmation is sent by email when a break is set and when it is undone.

9.3 Locked account

The account is locked when the subscription has ended or a payment has failed. The account is also locked when the trial ends and the customer has not provided their payment details (section 5). If the customer has withdrawn from a paid contract made during the trial, the account is not locked until the trial ends (section 8).

In a locked account, no new entries can be made, but the customer can download their own data at any time.

9.4 Automatic deletion of a locked account

A locked account and its data are deleted when the account has not been used for 12 months. For an account for which payment details have never been provided or whose paid contract has been withdrawn from during the trial, the deletion time limits in section 5 apply instead of this clause.

Making and changing time entries and having a valid subscription are deemed to be use. Merely signing in or downloading one’s own data is not use.

Notice of the deletion is given by email well in advance. The deletion is carried out at the earliest 30 days after the notice and at the latest 13 months after the last use. If the deletion is delayed due to a technical fault, it is carried out without undue delay once the obstacle has been removed.

10. Deleting the account and data

The customer may delete their account at any time in the service settings.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. It deletes the user account, the profile, the entries and the settings and ends the subscription. Any remaining paid period is forfeited. If the customer wishes to keep their data and only stop billing, the right function is a break (clause 9.2).

Before deletion, the customer is asked to download their own data and to confirm the deletion by typing their email address.

Exception. If the same email address has a membership in an organisation’s TuntiTassu, the deletion only applies to the customer’s own personal account. The user account and the hours logged in the organisation remain, because they are held by the organisation and not by the customer.

Deletion on request. The customer may at any time demand that their data be deleted, also when the account is on a break or locked. There is no need to wait for the time limit in section 5 or clause 9.4. Requests to tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

What is not deleted. Information on payment transactions is retained by Stripe for the period required by the Accounting Act (1336/1997), also after the account has been deleted. The retention of this information is based on a legal obligation, and it cannot be deleted at the customer’s request. More detailed retention periods are set out in the privacy notice.

11. Customer material

The customer’s material remains the customer’s own. Time entries, projects, reports and other content the customer stores in the service belong to the customer.

The service provider obtains only such right to use the material as is necessary for providing, maintaining and backing up the service on the customer’s behalf.

The service provider does not:

In the Soolo version, the customer’s data is not sent to a language model at all.

Getting data out. The customer can download their material in a machine-readable format (CSV and JSON) from the service settings at any time, including from a locked account. No fee is charged for downloading.

Intellectual property rights in the service. The service, its software, user interface and materials are the property of the service provider or its licensors. For the duration of the trial and the subscription, the customer receives the right to use the service in accordance with these terms.

12. Customer’s responsibility for content

The customer is responsible for what they enter in the service.

Task descriptions and project names are free text. If the customer enters personal data concerning third parties in them, for example the names of their own clients, the customer is the controller of that data and the service provider is the processor. In that case, the data processing agreement in Annex 3, which forms part of these terms, applies.

The following must not be stored in the service:

The service has not been designed for processing such data.

13. User accounts and signing in

There are no passwords in the service. Signing in takes place with a one-time link or code sent by email. This means that the holder of the email account can access the service.

The customer undertakes:

The service provider undertakes:

14. Availability of the service, support and permitted use

Availability. Uninterrupted operation of the service is not guaranteed. The aim is to announce maintenance breaks in advance. The service provider is not liable for interruptions due to external causes, such as disruptions at subcontractors or general telecommunications disruptions.

Support. Support is provided by email at tuki@tuntitassu.fi. The aim is to reply to messages within two working days. This is a target, not a commitment.

Complaints. Complaints concerning the service or billing are to be sent to the same address. A reply is given within 14 days at the latest.

Permitted use. The service must not be used for unlawful activities, in a way that infringes the rights of others or in a way that endangers the operation or security of the service. Placing automated load on the service and circumventing access rights are prohibited.

Restriction of use. If the customer materially breaches this section, the service provider may restrict use or close the account. Before closing, the customer is given a notice and a reasonable time to remedy the situation, unless the breach is so serious that immediate closure is necessary to protect the service or other customers. The data of a closed account can be downloaded for at least 30 days. If the account is closed, the unused part of the paid period is refunded, unless the closure is due to the customer’s intentional misconduct.

15. Liability for defects

The service is defective if it does not correspond to what has been agreed or to what the customer can reasonably expect.

A consumer has the rights under Chapter 5a of the Consumer Protection Act on the basis of a defect in a digital service. These rights are not restricted by these terms. They include the right to demand that the defect be remedied, a price reduction, termination of the contract and damages under the conditions laid down by law.

The defect must be notified within a reasonable time after the customer discovered the defect or should have discovered it. Notifications to tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

16. Limitation of liability

16.1 Consumer customer. These terms do not restrict the mandatory rights of consumers. The provisions of the Consumer Protection Act apply to a consumer as such, and clause 16.2 does not apply to them.

16.2 Customer subscribing for business purposes. The service provider is only liable for direct loss that it has caused through its negligence. The maximum amount of liability is the amount of money the customer has paid for the service during the 12 months preceding the occurrence of the loss.

The service provider is not liable for indirect loss, such as loss of profit, business interruption, loss of savings or a claim made by a third party against the customer.

16.3 Common limitations. The limitation of liability does not apply to loss caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor to personal injury.

16.4 Loss of material. The service provider takes care of backups as described in the privacy notice. If the customer’s material is lost due to the service provider’s negligence, liability is determined in accordance with clause 16.1 or 16.2. The customer is advised also to download their material regularly for themselves.

17. Changes to the terms and prices

The terms and prices may be changed if the change is based on one of the following:

  1. a change in legislation, in an order of an authority or in case law;
  2. a change in the costs of providing the service;
  3. development of the content or technical implementation of the service; or
  4. a change required by information security or the prevention of misuse.

Notice of changes is given by email at least 30 days before they take effect. A change takes effect at the earliest from the start of the next billing period and does not apply to a period already paid for.

If the customer does not accept the change, they may end their subscription before the change takes effect. In that case, the unused part of the paid period is refunded.

The price guarantee in section 6 cannot be changed under this section.

Minor changes, such as corrections to contact details or spelling, may be made without advance notice if they do not affect the customer’s rights or obligations.

18. Discontinuation of the service

If the service provider decides to discontinue the service, customers are notified of this by email at least three months in advance.

During the notice period, the customer can download their material as normal. The unused part of the paid period is refunded.

19. Force majeure

A party is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if this is due to an impediment beyond its control whose consequences it cannot reasonably avoid. Examples include widespread telecommunications or power outages, an order of an authority, a natural disaster and a state of war.

The other party must be notified of force majeure without delay. If the impediment lasts more than 30 days, either party may end the contract, in which case the unused part of the paid period is refunded.

Force majeure does not restrict the mandatory rights of consumers.

20. Assignment of the contract and notices

Assignment. The service provider may assign the contract in connection with a transfer of business or a corporate restructuring. Customers are notified of the assignment at least 30 days in advance, and the customer may end their subscription before the assignment. In that case, the unused part of the paid period is refunded.

The customer may assign the contract only with the service provider’s consent.

Notices. The service provider gives notices under these terms by email to the address the customer has stored in the service. A notice is deemed to have been received when it has been sent to this address, unless the service provider has been informed that delivery has failed. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the address is up to date and can receive email.

The customer gives notices to tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

21. Consumer rights

If the customer is a consumer within the meaning of Chapter 1, section 4 of the Consumer Protection Act, the mandatory provisions of the Consumer Protection Act apply to them. These terms do not restrict those provisions.

This means, among other things, that a consumer has:

If any provision of these terms conflicts with the consumer’s mandatory rights, the law applies.

22. Customer subscribing for business purposes

If the customer subscribes to the service mainly for business purposes, the Consumer Protection Act does not apply to them. In addition, the following applies to them:

Otherwise, these terms apply as such.

23. Applicable law and dispute resolution

The contract is governed by Finnish law. If the customer is a consumer whose place of residence is in another Member State of the European Union, the choice of law does not restrict the protection to which they are entitled under the mandatory legislation of their state of residence.

Contact first. The aim is to resolve disagreements by negotiation. Please first contact tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

Consumer customer. If the disagreement cannot be resolved, the consumer may refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). The Board requires that the company has first been contacted about the matter. Before referring the matter to the Board, the consumer may contact the consumer advisory services (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).

The consumer may always bring an action in the district court of their own place of domicile. Under Chapter 10, section 19(2) of the Code of Judicial Procedure (4/1734), the consumer’s right to have a matter heard by the court designated by law cannot be restricted by an agreement made before the dispute arose.

Customer subscribing for business purposes. Disputes are resolved in the Kymenlaakso District Court as the court of first instance.

24. Language versions

The terms are published in Finnish. If the language versions conflict, the interpretation more favourable to the customer applies. In all other respects, the Finnish version applies.

Version 1.3 · effective from 23 October 2026

This version applies to trials and paid contracts in connection with which the customer has accepted this version. A paid contract made during an earlier version is governed by the version of the terms that the customer accepted when making the contract, until the customer makes a new contract.

Each version is numbered and dated. Earlier versions are available on request from tuki@tuntitassu.fi.

VersionDateChange
1.323 October 2026 Swedish and English translations of the terms were published. A rule on conflicting language versions was added to section 24: in the event of a conflict, the interpretation more favourable to the customer applies, and in all other respects the Finnish version. The change is favourable to the customer and does not alter the terms of contracts made before it took effect (section 25), so no advance notice under section 17 is required.
1.224 September 2026 The service can be tried free of charge for 14 days without a payment card. The free trial begins on acceptance of the terms, and the paid contract is made when the customer confirms their obligation to pay and the payment method (section 2). Changed the steps for subscribing and added a confirmation that the trial has begun (section 4). Changed the trial terms: the trial can be used only once, ends in the account being locked if no payment details are provided, and the data of a locked trial account is deleted after three months (section 5 and clauses 9.3 and 9.4). The withdrawal period begins when the paid contract is made. Withdrawal before the first charge costs nothing and does not end the trial (section 8 and Annex 1). A trial started in 2026 qualifies for the offer price (section 6). Added a provision on entry into force to section 25: version 1.2 does not change the terms of paid contracts made before it took effect, so advance notice under section 17 is not required.
1.11 September 2026 Added the service provider’s telephone number to section 1, section 25 and the service provider’s details in Annex 1. This is pre-contractual information under Chapter 6, section 9 of the Consumer Protection Act that was missing. It was not added to the withdrawal form in Annex 2: in the model form in Annex I to the Consumer Rights Directive, the recipient field contains the name, address, fax number and email address, not a telephone number. A minor change within the meaning of section 17: it does not affect the customer’s rights or obligations, so advance notice is not required.

Annex 1: Withdrawal instructions

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire 14 days after the day the contract is made. The contract is made when you confirm your obligation to pay and your payment method in the service, including when you do so during the trial.

The free trial does not oblige you to pay anything, and you do not need to withdraw from it. You can stop the trial at any time without giving any reason and without costs. If you do not provide your payment details, nothing is charged.

Exercising the right of withdrawal

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement. You can do this in three ways:

  1. Using the withdrawal function in the service. The function is in the service settings under the name “Withdraw from the contract”, and it is visible throughout the withdrawal period.
  2. Using the withdrawal form in Annex 2, which you can send to tuki@tuntitassu.fi.
  3. By a free-form message to tuki@tuntitassu.fi or by letter to Digitahti Oy, Metsäkulmankatu 38, 48910 Kotka.

Using the withdrawal form is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired.

We will send you a confirmation of receipt of the withdrawal notice by email without delay.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund the payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice.

The refund will be made using the same payment method as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.

If performance of the service has begun during the withdrawal period at your express request, you must pay reasonable compensation for the part of the service performed before you notified us of your withdrawal. The compensation is calculated from the total price of the subscription in proportion to the time the service has been available to you after the first charge. Free trial days are not included in this time.

If you withdraw from the contract before the first charge, the withdrawal does not cost you anything, because nothing has been charged, and nothing is refunded either. This is the case when you have provided your payment details during the trial and withdraw before the trial ends. You can then use the service free of charge until the end of the trial, after which your account is locked in the same way as when the trial ends without payment details.
